Monsieur Didot boutique hotel is located in a former private residence in the center of Athens. Designers got the mansion in quite a good condition, it only needed to update the ceilings and restore the ancient elements. Almost all the furniture was made to order, while antique items were given into the reliable hands of restorers. During the renovation works, secret rooms were found in some spaces – designers decided to leave them almost unchanged, preserving the mystery of the mansion and placing the bathrooms there. The hotel is named after Firmino Didot, a famous French typographer, a connoisseur of literature and art, which reflected in a creative atmosphere: a lot of books, handmade ceramics, interesting photos and paintings!
