The name of the hotel Torel 1884 in Porto, Portugal, tells for itself: twelve hotel rooms are located in the building of the end of the XIX century. Because of this historical heritage, the main task for designers was to preserve the original elements of the building. Also, the architects and designers were inspired by the era of the Portuguese pioneers and geographical discoveries. That is why the rooms and common areas are decorated with palm trees, wallpapers with exotic birds and plants and rare fabrics. Each room has its own theme and name: Coffee, Tobacco, Porcelain and others. The lobby and bar deserve special attention – here you can not only drink a cup of coffee on duty, but also relax in peace with a book by the fireplace. Great idea and interesting realisation!
